A preparatory training program for children in Grades 2 or Grade 3 with no prior vocal training. A two-year curriculum prepares these singers for the Concert Choir program. Rehearsals are 1 hour weekly under the direction of Connie Schmidt.

A training program for children in grades 4-5 which introduces fundamental music and vocal skills in preparation for the Chamber Choir program. Rehearsals are 1:15 hours weekly under the direction of Ted Chamberlain.

For singers in grade 6-7-8 with basic music skills and a higher degree of vocal technique which is required for more advanced literature. Rehearsals are 1:15 hours weekly under the direction of Judith Herrington.

Members in grades 9-12 are selected for their advanced choral technique and perform as a solo choir and with the Tacoma Youth Chorus Chorale (SATB). Members are committed to extended rehearsals and additional performances. Rehearsals are 2:00 hours weekly under the direction of Judith Herrington.

The Chorale is made up of members from the Young Women's and Young Men's Choirs who combine to study and perform SATB literature. Rehearsals are held in conjunction with the Young Men's and Women's Choir times and both Mr. Haugen and Mrs. Herrington direct the Chorale.
