Our program consists of seven choirs, each dedicated to providing a rich and rewarding education. If you are interested in scheduling an audition, please call the appropriate director listed below.

Auditions are generally held at Charles Wright Academy Middle School. Maps are mailed with audition appointments.

Music Makers 1-2: grade 1-2 in Fall, 2011

An entry level training program featuring singing, movement, and rhythm experiences.

A training program designed for children which introduces fundamental music and vocal skills in preparation for the Chamber Choir program.

Chamber Choir: grades 6-9 in Fall, 2011

A program designed for singers with established basic music skills and a higher degree of vocal technique which is required for the more challenging literature performed by this choir. Ninth graders
who are new to TYC or boys with unchanged voices may apply here or to the next level.

Young Women's Choir: grades 9-12 in Fall, 2011

Members are selected for their advanced choral technique, commitment to extended rehearsals, additional performances, and more advanced literature.Young Women's Choir members also join
with the Young Men’s Choir to become the Tacoma Youth Chorus Chorale performing SATB
literature. Tuition includes two retreats: fall and early spring.
