Tacoma Youth Chorus Risk Management Policy

As an organization that serves children, it is important that Tacoma Youth Chorus remains vigilant to ensure the safety and well-being of our singers, their families, staff members, and guests of TYC.  For that reason, while remaining consistent with Washington State law, all singers, parents, staff members, and guests are prohibited from engaging in the following conduct at any TYC performance and/or rehearsal:

  • Possession and/or use of any potentially harmful weapon,
  • Possession and/or use of alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, and/or any other substance that may impair judgment or behavior (i.e. – marijuana, prescription drugs, etc.)
  • Use of profanity, abusive language, or any type of abusive behavior

Tacoma Youth Chorus is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. *Ages of program participants are based on organizational and educational criteria. Currently, TYC serves students Kindergarten through high school graduation. TYC does not discriminate based on age as to employment or volunteer opportunities.
